Neighborhood Craft Night at Jenny Lemons

Water color cards by Jenny Lemons

Join us in san francisco on October 3rd from 6-8 p.m. for watercolor cards with Jenny Lemons and Handheld Handmade

In celebration of Handheld Handmade launching their emoji browsing, we’ll have custom emoji watercolor cards for you to paint with watercolors. We’ll demonstrate basic watercolor techniques such as wet on wet, wet on dry, wet brush, dry brush and using salt and resists. We’ll have watercolor kits on hand and you can choose to make a complete set of four cards or mix and match your favorite emoji like suns, cacti, watermelons, rainbows, lemons, and more!

Handheld Handmade will also be hosting a giveaway for all attendees. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter the giveaway during the craft night for a chance to win a bundle of goods from Handheld Handmade!

There will be wine provided by Cameron Huges, snacks and a 15% discount in our shop!

About the series: Neighborhood Craft Night brings people together to enjoy each other's company, imbibe in good food and drinks, and make things with their hands. For each event, we partner with a different artist or creative from our community who presents a project related to their craft.

About the Artist: Jennie Lennick is a San Francisco based artist, entrepreneur, and teacher. As a child in the Midwest, Jennie became enamored with traditional domestic craft, learning to sew and embroider. Her first job as a teenager was in a bead shop in Minneapolis where she taught adults and children macramé and other beading techniques. In 2010, She moved to the Bay Area to attend the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied painting. Inspired by the natural beauty of Northern California, Jennie launched Jenny Lemons (jennylemons.com), a collection of modern hand printed and painted women’s clothing and textiles. Jennie's work has been featured in publications like the San Francisco Chronicle, Brit + Co, and San Francisco Magazine. Her retail store in the Mission District of San Francisco is a community space where she facilitates DIY workshops, produces her products, and showcases the talents of other local artists.
