HANDHELD HANDMADE LAUNCHES TEXT TO SHOP SERVICE WITH POP-UP AT GATHER
The SMS based curated shopping experience celebrates their official launch with unique, handmade wares at gather in San Francisco’s trendy Hayes Valley neighborhood.
San Francisco, CA -- Handheld Handmade, a new SMS based shopping experience that brings unique, hand selected and handmade items direct to users text messages, announces their official launch with a pop-up shop and craft series hosted by Hayes Valley business gather. Guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and shop handmade during the opening reception on Saturday, September 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. This event features a make and take necklace (free with the purchase of $25 or more) and a first glimpse into the hand-selected goods that will be available through Handheld Handmade.
Throughout the limited run pop up, there will be two other maker inspired events at gather; a modern calligraphy workshop as well as an avocado dyeing workshop. Both events will bring in talented artisans to teach and inspire, and guests will have goods to take home. Information on workshop costs and registration is available online.
Handheld Handmade founder Kelly Rand says, “I'm so excited to bring Handheld to people who love handmade just as much as I do. After months of beta testing the service with a dedicated group of makers and industry professionals, our beta testers have said they've found Handheld to be fun and easy and they absolutely love what they buy."
Handheld will host a private press preview in store on Friday, September 14th from 5 to 7 p.m. Interviews with Handheld Handmade founder and craft industry expert Kelly Rand as well as access to the space for photography will be available. For background information ahead of the media event contact Rand’s publicist Daniella Cortez at email@example.com.
